On behalf of our happy client from the manufacturing industry, we are looking for an experienced Accountant responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing financial reports, assisting with budget preparation, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
Core Responsibilities
Managing the full cycle of accounting activities
Maintaining and updating financial records, including ledgers, journals, and balance sheets
Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded and filed in a timely manner
Oversee the entire Accounts Payable & Receivable processes
Ensure efficient management of cash flow and vendor/customer relationships
Verify and reconcile invoices and payments, ensuring accurate processing
Perform monthly bank reconciliation to ensure that all transactions are recorded and balanced
Follow up on overdue payments and assist in resolving discrepancies
Support month-end, quarterly and year-end closing activities, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and assisting with reports
Take full responsibility for all TRA-related tax matters, including but not limited to VAT, Withholding Tax (WHT), Corporate Income Tax, Pay-As-You-Earn (PAYE), and excise duty
Ensure timely and accurate preparation, submission, and payment of all tax returns
Process invoices and liaising with external auditors
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or a related field
At least 4 years' work experience in accounting preferably from manufacturing or fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) industry
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
Attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
