The Sales & Marketing Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, strengthening brand presence, and expanding market share across bakers, food court, and supermarket in Kahama.
The role focuses on developing effective sales strategies, expanding distribution channels, executing marketing initiatives, and improving commercial performance across all business units. The position requires strong leadership, market understanding, and the ability to translate business strategy into measurable sales results.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
Develop and implement monthly and quarterly sales strategies aligned with company targets
Drive revenue growth across bakery, food court, and supermarket operations
Identify new business opportunities and emerging market segments
Establish and maintain strong relationships with corporate and institutional clients
Secure bulk supply agreements and catering contracts
Market Expansion & Distribution
Expand bakery distribution channels including retail outlets, supermarkets, and wholesalers
Strengthen route-to-market systems for efficient product availability
Identify opportunities for market penetration in new locations
Monitor competitor activities and market trends
Marketing & Brand Development
Plan and execute integrated marketing campaigns across all business units
Develop promotional strategies to increase customer traffic and brand visibility
Oversee in-store merchandising, branding, and promotional displays
Coordinate digital marketing activities including social media promotions and online campaigns
Sales Performance Monitoring
Track sales revenue, margins, and promotional effectiveness
Monitor campaign performance and calculate return on marketing investment (ROI)
Prepare weekly and monthly sales and marketing performance reports for management
Analyze sales data to identify improvement opportunities
Team Leadership & Supervision
Lead and supervise sales representatives, promoters, and marketing support staff
Set clear performance targets and monitor team productivity
Provide training and guidance to enhance team performance
Foster a results-oriented and customer-focused sales culture
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Performance will be evaluated based on the following key metrics
Monthly revenue growth across all business units
Market share expansion within the Kahama region
Distribution growth for bakery products
Number of corporate contracts and catering agreements secured
Return on promotional and marketing investments
Increase in customer foot traffic and average basket value
Maintenance and improvement of profit margins
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in sales and marketing, preferably in a leadership role
Experience in retail, FMCG, food service, or hospitality industries will be an added advantage
Strong commercial negotiation and relationship management skills
Ability to analyze sales data and interpret financial reports
Good understanding of market development and brand positioning strategies
