Job Summary
On behalf of our esteemed client from the manufacturing industry, we are looking for a Supply Chain Manager to be responsible for ensuring smooth operation of all aspects of procurement, logistics and warehousing procedures, co-coordinating with all departments. The Supply chain Manager will be report to Operation Manager.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Achieve and deploy the quality objectives and targets of the department consistent with the business plan
- On request acquire quotations, issue purchasing orders and approve invoices from suppliers national and international
- Monitor purchase orders and inform relevant department in case of changes
- Continuously search and evaluate new and better suppliers around the globe
- Continuously assess delivery performance and improve existing relationships with suppliers
- Issue claims in case of non-conformance
- Comply with all the Company’s rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
- Compare and evaluate the best shipping modes for oversea shipments
- Managed and arrange and overview shipments and schedules
- Oversees and monitoring Inventory
- Prepare reports on supply chain performance
Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, procurement or any other related field. Master's degree will be an added value
- Not less than 2 years’ experience on the managerial position in the same field
- Deep understanding of customs clearance, tariff codes (HS codes), valuation methods, bonded warehouse rules, and current TRA digital systems
- Knowledge of TBS product certification, pre-shipment inspection requirements, and import/export permits for specific goods
- Awareness of EAC and SADC trade protocols, duty remission schemes, and exemptions for industrial inputs
- Strong negotiation skills with shipping lines, clearing agents, freight forwarders, and inland transport providers
- Continuous review of supply-chain workflows to reduce lead time and prevent penalties
- Effective demand planning to avoid over-stocking or stockouts, particularly for regulated goods
- Good working knowledge and skills Microsoft office and Excel
