Job Summary
This
position will be responsible for calling on distributors, end users, architects,
consultants and more. This sales professional will be capable of relationship
and technical solution selling within company range of products for residential
and commercial construction purposes.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with a variety
of decision makers and influencers including locksmiths, facility managers, procurement
managers, architects and various executives
- Develop short- and long-term sales
plans in line with company goals
- Identify and classify the sales
potential of each client/project
- Establish a network of clients with a
high level of trust, developing relationships quickly and easily
- Apply discovery abilities including
prospecting, profiling, qualifying, identifying client needs, and presenting solutions
- Follow up on sales on corporate
tendering and procurement
- Conduct Project management and
post-installation surveys
- Product development & planning
- Represent the company in events such
as seminars, conferences and trade fairs and making presentation to relative
stakeholders
- Supporting overall corporate marketing
initiatives
- Sales coordination and
management-responding and following up on sales enquiries
- Monitor performance of the division to
ensure sales targets are achieved
- Conduct product training,
demonstrations and promotions to customers
- Ensure timeliness and cost
effectiveness in products’ delivery
- Carry out market research, competitor
and customer surveys
- Provide the necessary documentation to
customers e. g bills of quantities, quotations, specification schedules etc.
- Ensure profitable solutions are
specified into projects
- Any other related duties assigned to
you by supervisor or managing director
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited
university with courses in construction management, architectural design and
computer systems highly desirable
- 3+ years sales experience in construction or building materials industry
- Knowledge of construction processes
and the roles of end user -owner, architect, construction manager, general
contractor, MEP consultants, quantity surveyors etc.
- Ability to read and understand
specifications and facility standards
- Strong communication, time management,
negotiation and follow-up skills
- Technical aptitude in building
construction, electromechanical and IT networking desired
- Ability to demonstrate sales
leadership and confident during presentations
- Ability
to quickly grasp technical information
- Ability
to negotiate effectively
- Excellent
communications skills (English and Swahili)
- Ability
to build solid professional relationships
- Proficient
in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Valid
driver’s license and passport required
- Must
have a working cell phone
