Job Responsibilities
- Accounting Oversight: Manage all accounting functions, including ledger management, financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate financial statements and reports, ensuring they comply with regulations and standards.
- Budget Management: Develop and monitors the organization’s budget, ensuring adherence and identifying variances.
- Internal Controls: Establish and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Audit Coordination: Facilitate external and internal audits, addressing any findings and implementing necessary changes.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and tax obligations, staying updated on changes in financial legislation.
- Team Leadership: Supervise the accounting team, providing training and guidance to ensure accuracy and efficiency in financial processes.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Professional
certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
- Ideally have worked for a period of minimum 3 years with one of the big auditing firms
- Minimum of 3 years as
a financial controller/manager.
- Minimum 5-7 years of
experience in financial management roles.
- Strong knowledge of
accounting standards (e.g., IFRS/GAAP), financial regulations and internal
controls.
- Excellent analytical
skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency in financial management software and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
