The Courier Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the Courier Operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the timely delivery of products within the set standards as agreed to
base on their contractual obligations. Ensuring the courier team performs their assigned duties in
accordance with the standards set and required by the company.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure the courier service achieves the targets set for service and on time delivery
Ensure the operational parts of the courier business deliver the agreed standards of performance,
in particular in the areas of on time delivery, customer satisfaction and security
Ensures targets set for productivity, business growth and area expansion are met.
Ensure policies and procedures are in place to prevent revenue leakages
Formulate and execute the strategies in order to deliver best express service to customers.
Develop policies and standard procedure for working process effectively and efficiency.
Take an active part in developing the commercial strategy and contribute actively to the customer service.
Maintain a dynamic and scalable customer service in which resources are managed effectively and efficiently.
Cultivate customer relationship and listen to the voice of customers.
Establish, maintain effective relationships with customers, and gain their trust and respect
Build, keep engagement, motivation, management and leadership, and problem-solving.
Lead, implement, and control on the trainings of the team
Work with the management to prepare the development strategies of the company.
Perform accordance with the procedures and internal policies of the company.
Provide all necessary reports as required by management in a timely manner
Perform other related duties as may be required by the job function
Job Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in business management, operations, logistics or any related discipline
At least five (5) years of courier operations experience with a proven track record from a recognized courier company.
Fluency in written and spoken English and Swahili
Proficiency in Microsoft Office i.e. Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers and gets firsthand customer information and uses it for improvements in services.
Ability to communicate, convince, influence or persuade respective business with proposal.
Ability to work under pressure and think outside the box, lead and work effectively in a team environment.
Self-disciplined, motivated and confident, independence with patience in winning trust from people
Strong desire to learn and commit to his/her further development.
