Job Overview

On behalf of esteemed client from the trailers manufacturing industry, we are seeking a highly experienced and driven Sales Director/Head of Sales to lead the trailer sales operations in Tanzania. This individual will be responsible for developing and managing a local sales team, driving business growth through key account development, and building relationships with both large and small customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the sales team in Tanzania, ensuring sales targets are met or exceeded
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to expand the customer base and increase market share
  • Cultivate relationships with key accounts and ensure long-term partnerships
  • Identify and approach potential clients, including both large enterprises and small- to medium-sized businesses
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs to refine sales strategies
  • Coordinate with marketing, after-sales, and technical teams to ensure smooth customer experiences
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and budgets to upper management

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, or a related field
  • 5-10 years of proven experience in trailer sales
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, excellent negotiation and communication abilities, and a deep understanding of the commercial trailer market.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Swahili is a plus
  • The position is also open to expatriates
