Job Summary
On behalf of our happy client, we are currently seeking an experienced and talented Unit Pump Senior Technician to join the dynamic team. In this position, the successful candidate will be responsible for repair and servicing of unit pumps, unit injector pumps with common rail diesel technology.
To succeed in this role, you should be physically and mentally fit and have a solid knowledge of basic Unit Pump Senior Technician’s tools, service, and diagnostic equipment.
The desired candidate should ideally come from either Tanzania, Kenya, Zimbabwe, South Africa, India or Pakistan.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, systems, and automotive vehicles
- Meet with clients to better understand their concerns and identify the issue
- Assemble Unit Pump & Injector components according to specifications
- Examine machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality problems
- Design a plan of action for all maintenance tasks and upgrades
- Maintain work logs, repairs, and maintenance records
- Monitor inventory and order new parts when necessary
- Offer consultation on maintenance and preventative procedures to machine users
- Perform assessments and alert clients on issues that lead to pump failure
Requirements
- Certification from a vocational school or trade school is preferred
- A minimum of 10 years’ verifiable working experience in Unit Pump and Injector Pump with working knowledge of common rail technology.
- In-depth working knowledge of diagnostic equipment and injector pump working systems
- The ideal candidate should have strong attention to detail, with excellent communication and customer service skills
