Position Summary
We are looking for a driven Paid Accountant Intern with a basic understanding of accounting and financial principles and terms who is ready for an immersive, real world experience. The successful candidate will assist the institutional Accounting & Finance Department with various tasks under the supervision of the management.
Responsibilities
- Provide essential accounting and financial services and support to all departments
- Analyze financial information and provide results and recommendations
- Assist in financial systems, processes and policy updates and modifications
- Handle sensitive or confidential information with honesty and integrity
- Compile and analyze data, track information, and support the institution's internal clients
- Attend and participate in training and other professional development activities
- Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by management
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- Hand on reasonable experience related to Accounting or/ and Financial management
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Knowledge of any accounting software and Ms Office Package (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information and records
- Exceptional institutional skills and attention to detail
- Must be detailed oriented, results focused and be able to support change management initiatives
- Must be fluent in both Swahili and English
- Candidate's place of residence must be around Kimara, Dar es Salaam
