Purpose
We are looking for Stores Manager responsible for managing spare parts operations within the stores to
maximize return on investment, optimizing parts Department processing to ensure
customers satisfaction, achieve 100% or as close to pick rate, exercising
discipline expenses control by using approved suppliers.
The ideal candidate should be well experienced in stores management,
procurement and monitoring of stock movement.
Key
Performance Indicators (KPI’s)
- Perform duties in a safe and responsible
manner
- Ensuring compliance with all contractual,
statutory and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining systems that ensure the security
and integrity of stores items
- Set up and implement a monthly stock taking
system
- Set up and implement a stores monitoring
system to ensure accurate stock levels are Maintained
- Plan all stores resources and activities in
keeping with the company’s objectives and Targets
- Ensure security of the building and stock
- Maintain inventory report for: entry and exit
status; dead stock; goods age; consumption, Etc
- Investigate cost reduction measures in all
aspects of warehouse transactions and activities
- Suggest measures of improvement and
development of the Stores
- Motivate staff to make an effective and
efficient team
- Liaise with all departments to ensure that
stock items are available in a timely manner
- Advises users regarding stock items or
supplies suitable for needs using knowledge of and experience with goods
or materials
- Assist workshop personnel in the ordering
process via the system
- Assisting the procurement system of the
Company for spares especially
- Carrying out any other related duties that may
be assigned by your supervisor
Knowledge,
Skills & Ability
- Minimum 5
years in position of running a store,
and should be able to manage the store in its entirety
- Considerable knowledge of storekeeping methods
and procedures
- Considerable knowledge of a variety of tools,
parts, materials, and supplies, particularly as used in maintenance and
mechanical repair work
- Skill in appropriate use of goods and
materials in storeroom
- General language skills in both English and
Kiswahili
- Skill in both verbal and written communication
- Ability to plan and supervise the work of
others
- Skill in good leadership and take charge of
the stores operations
- Ability to be organized and systematic
- Ability to keep records and make reports
- Ability to motivate staff
