The main purpose of the job is providing accounting support to
accounting supervisors and other managers within the department. Keys daily
worksheets to the general ledger system, ensures files are complete and
maintained as needed. The ideal candidate will direct report to Financial Accountants and Director of Finance.
Posting daily
payments and receipts into the cashbooks
Preparing monthly
NSSF contributions for casual workers including receipts and payments in the
bank statement
Following up on
receipts
Maintaining physical
and electronic accounting records (filing documents and making sure all the
necessary attachments i.e. EFD receipts, invoices etc.are attached)
Verifying the
accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents prior to payments
Major Requirements
Minimum Certificate
in Accounting or Equivalent, ATEC I, Lower Government
Accounting Programme
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience as a Cashier
Must be very good in using Tally Accounting software and Ms Excel
Must be Computer literate, Confidentiality, Team work, Dependability and Trustworthy
Must have good communication skills and fluent in Swahili and English (Both written and spoken)
